Celebrating Collaboration: ESF Impact Walk at KGV
We were thrilled to host an ESF Impact Walk at King George V School a few weeks ago! These sessions are a vital part of our Professional Development across the English Schools Foundation, where staff from different schools visit one another to observe classroom strategies and share best practices.

These "impact walks" allow us to observe innovative teaching methods in a live classroom environment. Share insights that enhance student learning outcomes across the foundation. Strengthen our community of educators to ensure KGV remains at the forefront of educational excellence. It was a fantastic experience hosting our colleagues and showcasing the incredible work happening in our classrooms. We look forward to more opportunities to learn and grow together as one ESF team!

The Class of 2026 celebrated their final day on campus, starting with a special breakfast served by our SLT before a morning of sun and sketches on the Senior Quads.

The energy shifted as the school gathered for the Walk of Honour—a KGV tradition that never fails to bring a cheer to the driveway. We capped off the day with a final assembly and a mini-concert that rocked the hall.

To our graduates: You’ve left your mark on these halls. Now, go make your mark on the world.

On 11 March, over 100 students from KGV, WIS, and STC stepped into the hidden, harsh realities of modern slavery for My Freedom Day.

In partnership with the Mekong Club, our annual Sweatshop Challenge simulated the gruelling conditions of home-based textile workshops. Students faced the relentless "Bead Challenge"—threading complex patterns of tiny seed beads under massive quotas, ticking clocks, and ruthless quality control. Stripped of their names and identified only by numbers, participants quickly felt the severe eye strain and mental exhaustion that millions endure daily.

CNN was on-site to capture the raw reality and high-stress atmosphere of the simulation. Meanwhile, outside the challenge room, our student volunteers launched a "Human Price Tag" guerrilla campaign, tagging everyday campus items with harrowing facts about modern slavery.

The ultimate takeaway from this powerful day? We must deeply examine our consumer choices and confront the hidden human cost behind the objects we use every day.

Earlier in the year some of our students gathered at ESFC for an inspiring Carbon Literacy course facilitated by Metanoia.

It was a fantastic day of learning. Students dove deep into the science of climate change and brainstormed strategic solutions. Recently, the students and Mr. Poulsum got the chance to catch up on how this went as well as to discussed some of the pledges each student made during the course.

Such a great thing to learn more about! Shoutout to the students Heer, Grishma, Drea, Aarav, Aashi, Tanisha and Yaffy!
